Book Review: The Environment

Let me start by saying that if you ever read a book written by Pope Benedict XVI, be prepared to devote a lot of time to reading and processing all of the information that he has the gift of being able to squeeze into so few words.

"The Environment" is no exception. A book small in size is brimming with information directly from the writings of Pope Benedict XVI on all aspects of the environment. This book covers everything related to the environment from our role in the stewardship of the planet to social justice issues.

This book is one that should be digested in small bites. I would recommend no more than one reading per day to really digest the information presented. I have been wanting to get on the Vatican website and read some of Pope Benedict's writings but have not taken the time to do it. I love that this book affords me the opportunity to read some of the Encyclicals and homilies of Pope Benedict.

I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in what Pope Benedict has written about our role in the environmental debate that is occuring. His love for our planet is just one more thing that I love about him!

This review was written as part of the Catholic book reviewer program from The Catholic Company. Visit The Catholic Company to find more information on The Environment.
