Book Review: The Mommy Diaries
"The Mommy Diaries: How I'm Surviving Parenthood Without Killing Anyone" by Dallas Louis is a book written by a mom who had three children in two years. She has been through it all when it comes to parenting babies. In this book, she attempts to give readers a glimpse into her life as a mom of three under two while making you laugh. She has a ton of stories about her life as a stay at home mom that many moms can relate with.
This book was not quite what I expected. Although the "bones" of the book are good, I feel like the author was fluffing the chapters with tons of extraneous information. The fluff made it so the reader kind of loses focus and it is hard to tell when the book is supposed to be funny. Some of the stories were really good but underdeveloped.
I signed on to read this book and give an honest review. My honest opinion is that this book needs a little revision. If some of the mundane details were trimmed from the meat, I think this book would be delightful.
This book was provided to me free of charge in exchange for my honest review.
Thanks for stopping by! Alicia
