The newest installment in the Cougar Cubs Tales series is, “The Sneezy, Wheezy Day”. Author of “Lost and Alone” and “I’m Just Like You”, Sharon Cramer once again published a book that encourages children to love one another.
In this story, brother cub is getting sick and he and sister cub are searching for a cure. The animals in the forest have many different ideas but none of them seem to work. In the end, sister’s TLC makes the difference for brother cub.
This book is very colorful and has beautiful illustrations. I like that this story introduces new vocabulary words. I also think that Ms. Cramer’s choice of animals was perfect for introducing new animals to young children. I am planning to use this book in my classroom. I can read it when talking about health and also when we are discussing families. The only negative that I have to share about this book was that I had a hard time making the words rhyme while reading it. I can see this being frustrating to a new reader.
I was given an advance copy of “The Sneezy Wheezy Day” in exchange for my honest review and I was also offered a copy to share with one of my readers! To enter to win, please leave a comment below along with an e-mail address so that I can contact you if you are the winner!
