I have become addicted to the blog, Catholic Icing! I read it every day and am amazed at all of the ideas that the author, Lacy, compiles! While reading her "Palm Sunday" idea posts, I started getting ideas. I have an idea of what I want to do with my dinner table in celebration of this special day. I have never decorated the table for Palm Sunday before and now I think I will make this a tradition. Here is what I came up with:
The plate and cup are from a Christmas dish set that I bought for $3 on clearance at Winn Dixie a few years ago. I have never actually used them. As soon as I saw the ideas on Catholic Icing, I thought of this dish set.
I made the little donkey container out of a Pringles can that I cut down to 3 1/2 in tall. I then cut a piece of brown scrapbooking paper to 3 1/2 x 11 and adhered it to the outside of the can. I am totally out of black ink til tomorrow so I used my original donkey pattern and colored and cut it out. I then adhered the pieces to the can.
I am planning to fill the can with treats for the boys or maybe even dessert. How about some fig newtons? I am sharing the pattern for this container below. Have a great day!

You're so sweet! I'm really glad you've been enjoying the ideas you've seen over on Catholic Icing. I'm working on a post right now of Holy Week printables, and this is totally going in it :-)
