Review: Amethyst AB Glass Bead Rosary

The rosary devotion has been around for centuries. Beginning as a prayer aid as monks recited the Psalms daily, it was soon adapted and used as a sacramental to aid in prayer to the Virgin Mary, asking for her prayers and protection.

Discount Catholic Products has a great selection of rosaries at reasonable prices. They offered to send me an Amethyst AB Glass Bead Rosary free of charge in exchange for my honest review.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the package with this rosary inside was that it was startlingly beautiful! The colors are shown no justice in the photo on the website. The rosary changes colors in the light and is just enjoyable to look at.

Next, I prayed using the rosary and loved that it was not so heavy that it fell from my hands or was noticeable while I prayed. It was also not so light that it felt cheap or was hard to hold on to.

This rosary is so beautiful and made with such quality that they would make wonderful Catholic gifts for any age, making it perfect for First Communion, Confirmation, RCIA, or Christmas gifts!
