Book Review: Children of Angels

"Children of Angels" by Kathryn Dahlstrom is a unique work of fiction, mixing Christian fiction with fantasy in a way that children can enjoy. One day, while attempting to escape some bullies, Jeremy discovers that he has powers that other children do not have. He then goes on an adventure while learning about himself and the forces of good and evil.

I loved this book! At first, I feared that this book would be predictable and boring. Although it followed a predictable pattern, the story-line was unique enough to capture and hold my attention. I also did some research on Nephilim, the term used for Jeremy's superpower traits. In the Bible, Nephilim are barely mentioned so the author used creative license to create these characters. Since there is not much information, the story does not refute any Christian or Catholic teaching but readers should remember that the author was writing fiction.

In all, this book was a fun and quick read for me and I know my boys will love it too! I received this book free of charge in exchange for my honest review.
