"Giants in the Land" is a very heartwarming book appropriate for children of all ages (and adults, too!). It is about a young man who goes out on a limb to search for the Giants who have been helping the villagers as long as they can remember who suddenly disappeared one day. The man makes it to his destination with some Divine guidance and finds out what happened to the Giants.
This book was a great read for me. After I read it, I immediately passed it on to my sons who I know will love it. I like that it is a Christian book but is not over-the-top religious. It is so full of depth and character that I paused a few times to meditate on portions of the plot and ways that it can be applied to real life and the workings of God. I think this would make an awesome gift for any young person, but especially an elementary age boy.
